Our approach

The BeerSelect breweries are built on two pillars: quality and flexibility. Quality is central to every aspect of our process, aiming to create technically perfect products. Flexibility means that we offer endless possibilities. In addition to brewing high-quality craft beers, we also produce a wide range of beverages such as sodas, functional drinks, pasteurized kombucha, cocktails, and other ready-to-drink (RTD) products.

All of this is made possible in our two modern breweries, equipped with state-of-the-art technology.

High-quality malts mills

Our malt mill ensures that selected malts are milled correctly and specifically for the brew.

Automated brewing systems (20, 40 and 80hL)

4-vessel brewhouses

1

Mashing tun
The ground malt or grist is dissolved in water and is automatically heated in accordance with the mash schedule.

2

Lauter tun
The liquid wort and the spent grain are separated using our perforated plate filter.

3

Boiling kettle
We boil the wort and add hops and spices. We heat the kettle with our steam generator.

4

Whirlpool
Solid particles, such as the hops, the spices and protein are removed.

80+ double walled fermentors

The temperature and pressure of our stainless steel cylindrical-conical fermentors is continually monitored. Cooling and heating is done through the double jacket.

Fermentation

We analyse the beer daily during this natural process for optimal results. After fermentation the beer is purged and lagered.

Lagering

Lagering means bottom-fermenting the beer, with the yeast working at the bottom of the wort. We do this for approximately two weeks, at -1°C, to guarantee good lagering. The wort is purged several times during this process.

Dry hopping

We can dry-hop your beer, using a fermentor or hop gun. Over the years, our production team has developed great expertise.

Centrifuge

Our brand new centrifuge removes dead yeast and residual particles after fermentation and dry-hopping. A choice can be made in the clarity of the beer.

Flash or tunnel pasteurisation

If desired, your beer can be pasteurized. This involves briefly heating the beer to eliminate any contamination risks, ensuring the highest quality.

Warm room

For bottle-conditioned beers, our BeerSelect team carefully calculates the required sugar and yeast additions to control the CO₂ levels in your beer.

Lab analyses

In our in-house lab, we run daily tests, monitoring key factors like alcohol content, bitterness (IBU/EBU), color (EBC), foam stability, and sugar content (Brix) to ensure consistent quality. Using advanced tools like the Anton Paar and CO2/O2 meters, we guarantee precise measurements.

Our PCR testing ensures microbial stability, essential for non-alcoholic drinks. Continuous in-line monitoring during fermentation and packaging protects product integrity. With cutting-edge CIP systems and strict FSSC-certified hygiene practices, we maintain top cleanliness and safety.

Your beer is only released after full quality team approval.
